Leslie Tamura Receives JACL Fellowship

SAN FRANCISCO—The Japanese American Citizens League (JACL) has awarded Leslie Tamura of Fresno, California, with the Mike M. Masaoka Congressional Fellowship.  She will work in the Washington, D.C. office of Congresswoman Doris Matsui (D-CA) this fall, learning about the importance of public service on a national level.  Tamura, 22, is currently a graduate student reporter covering health and science news at Northwestern’s Medill School of Journalism in Chicago, Illinois.
